We have been buying our birds from J&R Game Farm for the past 5 years. The quality of these birds are wonderful.
Whether we are purchasing Pheasants, Chukar or Quail they are beautifully filled out with bright colors, especially the black Pheasants and they are all great fliers.
We have been in business for 35 years and just recently one of our members wanted to try hunting Chukar, he had never hunted them before and when he came in from the hunt he could not stop talking about what a great hunt it was and how he "could not believe how fast the birds broke". He is only hunting Chukar now.

I highly recommend J&R Game birds for anyone desiring high-quality game birds for hunting, hunt clubs, and competition events. Hunting and shooting J&R birds provide a real challenge for dogs and hunters alike.
I am active in two English Springer Spaniel field trial clubs which use over 2000 pheasants every year provided by J&R Game Birds for competitive field trial events and training. Our clubs host a minimum of three AKC licensed field trials a year with pheasants supplied by J&R Game Birds. An average game bird is not adequate for an English Springer Spaniel field trial. Field bred English Springer Spaniels are intense talented flushing dogs, bird-finding machines when their turned loose to hunt. They drive in hard on any bird they locate and will trap (catch) a bird that is too slow to get away from them. The strongest healthiest birds are needed to challenge these dogs and put on a competitive field trial. J&R Game Birds provides us with the hard-flushing birds needed to put on an exciting challenging field trial. Participants and guests at our trials frequently compliment the pheasants at our trials and comment about how much stronger they flush and fly than birds they see at other trials.
I have personally visited J&R Game Birds on numerous occasions. The owner of J&R, John DeMik, takes the utmost care to ensure that his birds are not overcrowded or stressed in the pens. The bird pens are planted every year with crops and other cover to provide a natural environment with a minimum of human contact.
Other game bird farms will often feed their birds corn or other low-nutrition feed to save on feed costs. As a result, these other bird farms have birds with a weak flush and slow labored flight. J&R birds are raised on a diet of high-quality game bird feed, which is needed for the explosive flush and strong flight that J&R game birds are known for.
Mr. DeMik has proven to be a highly reliable supplier. All deliveries are on schedule, arriving with all the birds in strong health inside clean dry crates.
